A figurine depicting Lü Dongbin 呂洞賓, one of the Daoist “eight immortals” (ba xian 八仙), legendary Daoist masters who are said to attain immortality by mastering various techniques. Lü Dongbin was a Tang Dynasty poet and scholar who was later revered as an immortal. He is usually depicted with a fly swatter and a sword on his shoulder. The figure is padded and glued to cardboard. (HM, PP)
