Many East Asian objects are held in protocol facilities around Slovenia, which are managed by the Public Economic Institute of Protocol Services of the Republic of Slovenia. Many of the objects held by Villa Podrožnik, Strmol Castle, Brdo Castle and Villa Bled are displayed or used for decoration in the protocol rooms, while some are kept in depots. For the most part, these objects were not part of the original furnishings of these buildings, but were placed there when the buildings were given their protocol functions.
