A black-and-white photograph: a view of the entrance to the tomb of Emperor Kanmu 桓武天皇 (737–806) at Fushimi Momoyama, not far from Kyoto. On the reverse, Alma Karlin wrote that Emperor Kanmu was the founder of the Heian period.
