Postcard Tsunami 1911 Aioibashi
A postcard with a snapshot of a natural disaster in Japan: the damage caused by the tsunami in the old part of Tokyo in July 1911. The postcard was sent to Alma Karlin by N.G., probably her Japanese student Mr. Nobuji from her time in London. The text of the correspondence is in English, “These six cards are the photos of the damage caused by the tsunami (Japanese) in skirt of Tokyo, on the 26th July last. N. G”.
