Postcard Fushimi Inari
A black-and-white photograph with subsequent hand colouring showing the path of the Myōbudō 命婦道, which in the Shinto context means “fox path”, a messenger of the god of good harvest. The shrine with many red gates on this route, the Fushimi Inari Shrine, is a popular and much-frequented site near Kyoto.
