A black-and-white photograph showing the pagoda with the Hua Zang Temple (Huazang Sita 華藏寺塔) on Mount Yuanquan (Yuquanshan 玉泉山) or “Jade Spring Mountain” in the northwestern part of Beijing. It was built on the site of a former Tibetan Buddhist temple. In the background stands the Yufeng Pagoda (Yufengta 玉峰塔) or “Jade Mountain Pagoda”.

The photograph is the 342nd of 449 photographs of Beijing and its surroundings in the album of Ivan Skušek Jr., purchased during his stay in Beijing (1914–1920). In the handwritten inventory of the album, the photograph is referred to as Yün-Tschüan-Schan: Marmourpagode. (DZ, MV).
