Photography Nine-Dragon Wall
A black-and-white photograph showing the Wall of the Nine Dragons (Jiulongbi 九龍壁), probably somewhere in Beijing. A wall with a relief of nine different dragons is typical of imperial palaces and gardens.
The photograph is the 283rd of 449 photographs of Beijing and its surroundings in the album of Ivan Skušek Jr., purchased during his stay in Beijing (1914–1920). In the handwritten inventory of the album, the photograph is referred to as Drachen-Mauer. (DZ, MV)
