A black-and-white photograph showing a wide-angle shot of Nanhu Island 南湖島 or “South Lake Island” in Kunming Lake (Kunminghu 昆明湖) and the Summer Palace (Yiheyuan 頤和園), called “Dragon Island” in the manual of the album.
The photograph is the 327th of 449 photographs of Beijing and its surroundings in the album of Ivan Skušek Jr., purchased during his stay in Beijing (1914–1920). In the handwritten inventory of the album, the photograph is referred to as Wan-Schou-Schan: Drachen Insel. (DZ, MV)
