A black-and-white photograph showing a marble tower with a lion on top. Behind it we see other wooden sculptures of animals and mythological creatures. It is probably a spiritual path (shendao 神道).
The photograph is the 256th of 449 photographs of Beijing and its surroundings in the album of Ivan Skušek Jr., purchased during his stay in Beijing (1914–1920). In the handwritten inventory of the album, the photograph is referred to as Gung Dschu – Fen: Marmoursäule. (DZ, MV)
