The 56th insert from the album The Decoration of the Palace Buildings in Beijing. It shows the colour schemes of the decorative carpentry patterns of the Hall of Supreme Harmony (Taihedian 太和殿) in the Forbidden City (Gugong 故宫 or Zijincheng 紫禁城) in Beijing. The upper and middle parts of the sheet show the colour schemes of the decorative carpentry patterns from the central part of the hall’s interior, while the lower part of the sheet shows the colour schemes of the beams connecting the four main columns in the hall.
