A black-and-white photograph showing the entrance to the arched Lugou Bridge (Lugouqiao 盧溝橋), also known as the “Marco Polo Bridge”, in Beijing. In front of the bridge are memorial stelae and a column with a lion. The bridge is located about 15 kilometres southwest of downtown Beijing.

The photograph is the 374th of 449 photographs of Beijing and its surroundings in the album of Ivan Skušek Jr., purchased during his stay in Beijing (1914–1920). In the handwritten inventory of the album, the photograph is referred to as Brücken-Kopf der Marko-Polo-Brücke. (DZ, MV)
