A black-and-white photograph showing a statue of Guandi 關帝 or Guangong 關公, a commonly worshiped Chinese god of war, at the Buddhist Dazhong Temple (Dazhongsi 大鐘寺) or “Great Bell Temple” in Beijing.

The photograph is the 251st of 449 photographs of Beijing and its surroundings in the album of Ivan Skušek Jr., purchased during his stay in Beijing (1914–1920). In the handwritten inventory of the album, the photograph is referred to as Ta-Tshung-Tse: Der chin. Kriegsgott. (DZ, MV)
