Karel Zevnik [dates unknown] from Medvode sailed to East Asia in 1907–1909 while serving on the Austro-Hungarian Navy’s torpedo boat Leopard. A wooden postcard album with lacquered covers inlaid with mother-of-pearl and ivory has been preserved as a memento of his journey. Karel later emigrated to the United States, but the album of postcards was kept by his relatives in Ljubljana. His great-grandson Bogdan Šavnik donated it to the Maritime Museum in Piran in 2019.
