The 65th insert from the album The Decoration of the Palace Buildings in Beijing . It shows the colour schemes of the decorative patterns on the wall façades and door panels of the buildings in the Forbidden City (Gugong 故宫 or Zijincheng 紫禁城) in Beijing. The left-hand side of the sheet shows the colour schemes of the patterns on the façade walls of the Gate of Heavenly Purity (Qianqingmen 乾清門), and on the right are the colour schemes of the patterns on the metal door fittings of the Hall of Preserving Harmony (Baohedian 保和殿), the Hall of the Union of Heaven and Earth (Jiaotaidian 交秦殿), and the Hall of Spiritual Cultivation (Yangxindian 養心殿).
