The 60th insert from the album The Imperial City of Beijing, China. The photo shows the steps in the middle part of the staircase of the Hall of Heavenly Purity (Qianqinggong 乾清宮) in the Forbidden City (Gugong 故宫 or Zijincheng 紫禁城) in Beijing, which were intended for the bearers of the emperor’s bier.
