The 59th insert from the album The Imperial City of Beijing, China. The photo shows a decorative plaque on the central part of the staircase of the Hall of Heavenly Purity (Qianqinggong 乾清宮) in the Forbidden City (Gugong 故宫 or Zijincheng 紫禁城) in Beijing, which was reserved exclusively for the use of the emperor.
