The 55th insert from the album The Decoration of the Palace Buildings in Beijing. It shows the colour schemes of the decorative carpentry patterns of the Gate of Heavenly Purity (Qianqingmen 乾清門) in the Forbidden City (Gugong 故宫 or Zijincheng 紫禁城) in Beijing. The upper left-hand part of the sheet shows the colour schemes of the decorative carpentry patterns from the inside of the door, the lower side shows the schemes from the middle part of the door, and the right-hand side of the sheet shows the schemes from the outside of the door.
