The 71st insert from the album The Decoration of the Palace Buildings in Beijing. It shows the colour schemes of the decorative patterns of the throne pedestals in the Forbidden City (Gugong 故宫 or Zijincheng 紫禁城) in Beijing. The left-hand side of the sheet shows the colour schemes of the concave niches above the throne podium of the Hall of Supreme Harmony (Taihedian 太和殿), shile the centre below shows the colour schemes of the decorative patterns on the throne podium of the Hall of Heavenly Purity (Qianqinggong 乾清宮). The colour schemes of the podiums in the Hall of Preserving Harmony (Baohedian 保和殿) and the Hall of the Union of Heaven and Earth (Jiaotaidian 交秦殿) are shown on the right.
