Am0005 Keramicna Okrasna Stresna Opeka 01 Scaled 1

A decorative ceramic roof tile depicting a Chinese dignitary on a horse. The tile is glazed in various shades of green, black, orange-yellow and light brown. The horse stands still on a ridged roof tile, with its belly fixed to the centre by an attachment decorated with spirals representing clouds. It is equipped with reins and a rich blanket. Its rider is dressed in a long orange-yellow robe and wears dark brown boots. The object probably dates back to the 17th century. (TB)
