A black-and-white photograph showing the burial site of Buddhist monks and dignitaries at Tianning Temple (Tianningsi 天寧寺). The Buddhist temple complex is now part of the Xicheng district (Xichengqu 西城區) in Beijing.
The photograph is the 243rd of 449 photographs of Beijing and its surroundings in the album of Ivan Skušek Jr., purchased during his stay in Beijing (1914–1920). In the handwritten inventory of the album, the photograph is referred to as Tien-Ming-Tse: Priester-Friedhof. (DZ, MV)
