A black-and-white photograph showing the altar with Buddha statues in the West Pagoda (probably Cishou Sita Pagoda 慈壽寺塔) in the village of Bali (Balizhuang 八里莊), which is now part of Haidian District (Haidianqu 海洉區).

The photograph is the 223rd of 449 photographs of Beijing and its surroundings in the album of Ivan Skušek Jr., purchased during his stay in Beijing (1914–1920). In the handwritten inventory of the album, the photograph is referred to as Weisse Pagode (Pai-Ta-Sze). (DZ, MV)
