A black-and-white photograph showing one of the throne halls in the Forbidden City (Gugong 故宫 or Zijincheng 紫禁城) in Beijing. The three main halls are arranged symmetrically on the north-south axis, starting with the Hall of Supreme Harmony (Taihedian 太和殿), followed by the Hall of Central Harmony (Hezhongdian 中和殿) and the Hall of Preservation of Harmony (Baohedian 保和殿).

The photograph is the 297th of 449 photographs of Beijing and its surroundings in the album of Ivan Skušek Jr., purchased during his stay in Beijing (1914–1920). In the handwritten inventory of the album, the photograph is referred to as Thron-Halle. (DZ, MV)
