Glavna tema simpozija je bilo raziskovanje provenience vzhodnoazijskih predmetov s poudarkom na problematikah manjkajo\u010de dokumentacije, izgubljenih predmetov in razpr\u0161enih zbirk ter mo\u017enih zgodovin tatvin in zaplemb. Govorci so skozi svoje raziskave razpravljali tudi o teoreti\u010dnih in metodolo\u0161kih pristopih k obravnavi in kontekstualizaciji osirotelih predmetov v okviru muzeologije in razli\u010dnih pristopih kuratorstva ter strate\u0161kih pristopih k analizi, ohranjanju, upravljanju in varovanju nacionalne kulturne dedi\u0161\u010dine Vzhodne Azije ali zunaj nje.<\/p>\n<p>Simpozija se je udele\u017eilo 18 govorcev iz ve\u010d evropskih dr\u017eav, Vzhodne Azije in ZDA, ki so predstavili svoje prispevke s podro\u010dja raziskovanja predmetov in zbirk vzhodnoazijskega izvora in njihove provenience. Prispevke je predstavilo tudi 7 \u010dlanov projektne skupine <em>Osiroteli predmeti: obravnava vzhodnoazijskih predmetov izven organiziranih zbirateljskih praks v slovenskem prostoru<\/em> (J6-3133):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nata\u0161a Vampelj Suhadolnik: <em>The Challenges of Provenance Research of East Asian objects in Slovenia<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Bogdana Marinac: <em>Are East Asian Objects from Seafarers\u2019 Collections Orphaned?<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Maja Veseli\u010d: <em>Extending the metaphor: searching for the \u201coriginal\u201d family of objects in the Sku\u0161ek collection<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Klara Hrvatin: <em>The periphery of the periphery<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Helena Motoh: <em>Exploring the biography of a missionary scroll in the Regional Museum of Celje<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Davor Mlinari\u010d: <em>An attempt to reconstruct the provenance of museums objects kept in the Collection of Objects from Asia and South America in the Celje Regional Museum<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Chikako Shigemori Bu\u010dar: <em>A Yokohama Photo Album in the National and University Library in Ljubljana<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Simpozij sta organizirala Znanstveno-raziskovalno sredi\u0161\u010de Koper in Oddelek za azijske \u0161tudije Filozofske fakultete Univerze v Ljubljani.
